I came down one day and he's watching table tennis.
I'm like, what?
It's funny, he was only 10, but there was a maturity about him, in fairness, that you don't often see in 10-year-olds.
And yet, he was fun.
I mean, he was so full of fun and mischief, but Rory was the mischievous one.
Owen had a very quiet confidence.
There was nothing quiet about Rory's confidence.
He was out there.
And I've always said that that was because he had his big brother.
You know, he knew...
He had his back.
I always said we couldn't have the two of them have a play date over together because Rory would ditch his friend to go and play with Owen and his friends.
He always wanted to.
He didn't see himself as a little brother.
He didn't see himself as younger.
You know, somehow in his mind, he wanted to be with the big boys.
you know and I still remember the first day in school as he was walking in he didn't want me going in with him at all he just you know dropped me at the gate kind of a thing and off you go not a chance I'm coming into the classroom with you I'm getting that photograph okay mammy but as he was going in the gate when the older boys high-fived him he would have known him because he would have been on the side of the pitch when Owen was playing hurling and football and I just looked at him and thought you'll be okay
And he went in with a big, big beam on his face.
And we sold it and we made quite a lot on it at the time.
