I get so frustrated, exhausted with the alternative, which is TV where there is no time for looseness, for characters to do things just because somebody thought it would be a really lovely, strange little scene.
And the sense of who these people are, not just in the context of the most driving plot that is in front of them at all times.
You know who they are in a much different way.
It brought back Goodnight Moon from the future.
Right.
Will you like me to get my soapbox out because I will stand on top of it.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
And yeah.
I don't know, there is something about it that reminds me of like AI discourse, where the idea is that what you want
when you're spending time with a character or a story, on one hand, you have an outcomes-based metric, where it's like, I put in the thing, I created the thing, this tool made me get to the end faster, and so it was a more successful experience.
And Outlander is really a testament to like, do it yourself.
Spend a lot of time in strange corners.
You will have a different relationship with this text and you will be so fond of this thing that you are also grinning at sort of with absurd frustration.
Oh, and sorry about the goodnight moon spoilers.
Tobias Menzies.
It's totally real.
They're going to bone on the beach.
Especially those two.
Yes, yes.
