So what they've done is they've taken their firm, appropriately named Big Ball Small Ball, given their GAA background, they've taken it unlimited.
And what that means is it really can't come under any public scrutiny anymore.
So every year around this time of year, you might see news in the papers about their profits, about their pay for the year, and that's going to be gone now.
So Johnny Smacks and Johnny B, Johnny McMahon and Johnny O'Brien, they're
gone completely private.
We're not going to be able to see the profits that the company generates and we're not going to be able to see the share of the pay that they split between them anymore.
It's pretty big money.
So last year they shared €715,000 between them in directors pay and that's going up to the end of April of last year.
And post-tax profits at the company got up over €281,000.
And what that means is we can officially say the two Johnnies are a €1 million industry unto themselves because cumulative profit at the company has risen up above €1 million based on the money that they made last year.
It is really big money.
I really can't stress that enough.
It's not just the podcast industry.
It's also sold out live shows as well.
They played to more than 12,000 at the Three Arena at the end of 2024.
Easter Just Gone, they played a big family-friendly gig in the Three Arena as well.
So I suppose what that tells you as well is
as much as they're kind of going to festivals and doing their big gigs and their pints in a field shows that they do that appeal to more of a maybe a daily podcast listener who is maybe a full time worker.
They're also going for more family friendly and kid friendly market as well.
So it's mass appeal, really.
