I'm not sure what can be done for—my dad had Parkinson's.
I don't know what else could be—what could be done in terms of preventative measures if you find out early enough about that.
But, you know, these retina scans, when will they be available?
By the way, everyone who's just joining, I'm talking to Dr. Eric Topol, and we're right now going to get to his book in two seconds.
But tell me about the retina scans.
That's so crazy.
That's so exciting.
Well, let's move on to your book, Super Agers, because people are really interested in longevity.
So interested, there's a lot of pseudoscience out there.
So before we talk about what works, let's talk about what doesn't.
And I know you take on biohacking, pseudoscience, anti-science movements.
And all these things, you know, all this, I don't know, malarkey that's out there that is telling people certain things that just have no basis in science.
Why do you think, what has fueled these movements and what can we do about all this misinformation?
Well, let's talk about the tools because I know, uh, the, the new concept of health span versus lifespan has come into play and, and you write about that, but, but talk about particularly selfishly about women because women do live generally longer than men, but it doesn't mean that they're living well.
Um, but can you talk about this idea of health span?
Well, I was going to ask you about that because, you know, aren't there some genetic components?
Like you just are lucky in terms of
you know, your DNA and your genetic makeup that predispose you to living healthier.
It's like those people who chain smoke all their lives and yet they live to be like 95 years old.
So I guess the key is keeping your immune system strong, right?
