In the context of AI and journalism, I guess I break it into two buckets at Wired, at least.
I mean, for us, there's reporting on this technological moment in time, which takes up a great deal of our time and our resources and our energy, and it's really important.
And then there's actually the separate question, although we cover that as well, of how AI will affect the practice of journalism and the consumption of journalism.
Internal conversations and deliberations you have had and had to have as this technology has evolved.
around how to introduce it to the newsroom, given, I mean, this is at Wired, and I can't speak for our parent company, but certainly at Condé Nast, always a difficult conversation.
I mean, there are really difficult lines to walk here.
And I'm curious about how you think about that at The Times.
Mistakes were made.
Mistakes were published.
Yeah.
What's a very good conversation partner.
That makes sense.
And I mean, I agree with you.
I think it is a very valuable tool or can be used to create very valuable tools for reporting and for reporters.
And especially, you know, as newsrooms have gotten smaller, right, and resources are much more strapped at some newsrooms, maybe not at The Times.
I think there's competitive advantage there.
I mean, I will say at Wired, we are building our own AI tools for reporting.
And one of the goals is actually to beat The New York Times more often.
Right.
So like we're trying to get clever in ways that maybe other news organizations aren't using AI.
