So they say you leave yachting three times before you actually left.
So yeah, it's definitely a golden handcuff.
But like, I don't know.
I think the only downside to yachting is you spend a lot of time on a boat, working long hours, and then you miss out on a lot of things.
But I really wouldn't change any of it for the world.
With the yachties?
100%.
I still, like I can still watch it and be like, oh.
But, like again, I actually, I loved my experience.
At the time it was hard.
And again, I don't regret it.
Like I think everything was, however it's meant to be, is meant to be.

i think yacht crew turned their nose up a lot of it and i think now because it was ironic when i i didn't tell a lot of people that i was going to do it because at the time it was still quite like a taboo thing and then i think when it got announced and then all of a sudden i had all these yacht crew that used to talk shit about the show be like hey do you think you could put me in touch with the producer do you think you could put me in touch with casting how'd you go about it and i'll just sit there and be like oh
was that interesting interesting so I heard you on another podcast talking about I think it was an ex-boyfriend that was also in the boating boating world and he was like oh don't do that Katie or yeah oh what are you doing what are you doing with your life he's a Kiwi so we had separate separated god I sound like I'm fucking married definitely was not we broke up maybe a year and a half prior or a year or
two prior and um i used to joke about it because they used to message me all the time casting and i'm like oh my god below deck and he was just like don't do that don't do that um as most of us did and i was just like lol and i always used to make a joke i said when i'm done with yachting i'll do the show because there'll be like a mic drop out like i'm done and so i ended up doing the show and then when it got announced like the trailer dropped or whatever he was actually one of the first people to message me
and say he was kind of like i can't believe you did this like what like and the thing is the way we broke up he kind of left me for my friend or somebody i know um and i just replied to him i was like you didn't give a about me two years ago why i think you give a about me now you know he made it he would he was like oh i'm just worried about your mental health and your anxiety and how
