Medicare and people started retiring. matched

Also, traditional pensions were more common, where employers would guarantee workers a specific amount of money every month for the rest of their life after retirement. matched

And these old school pensions actually incentivized workers to retire at a specific age. matched

And for all of these reasons, the trend for four decades was earlier and earlier retirement. matched
