Part of what I see, the content that's taking over my feeds is the video edit clips.

And what those are, people will take different clips from different parts across.

There's six episodes of the show from different episodes and sort of edit them together, you know, and set them to a different song that's not in the show to sort of make these short little, you know, 10, 30 second clips that sort of.

tell a different story that might have to do with, you know, I saw one that was set to a Taylor Swift song, and it kind of, the way they paced the clip sounds like the lyrics of the Taylor Swift song, and this is, this is not the first show that's had these video edits.

This is sort of a well-formed

language of fandom but this show particularly lends itself really well to this um it's like a very visually beautiful show i think that's part of what people like is really high production values it's very

These incredibly good looking guys.

And platforms right now at this particular moment love video.

So X, TikTok, Reels, like something that is a short, appealing, fast edit video thing is like perfectly designed to go viral.

So the phrase horny on Maine is sort of this meme joke of, you know, that it would be weird if you were using your real name and, you know, Maine social account as opposed to, you know, a Finsta or a secret account.

horny things right like a lot of time that might be like complimenting other people i'm not like like so hot or something like that um but it's it's sort of because everyone thinks these guys are so handsome that's kind of given license to people to be like oh my god like these guys are so hot um in a way that's sort of it's a little bit liberating i think to to feel like it's okay to be a real person and be like oh my god like run me over with the bus right uh these guys are so hot

I think there's something very unique about this show.

I do think, however, that based on the success of the show, we are probably going to see a lot more things that are trying to replicate the

you know, the vibes of this show, whether that's more romance, more gay romance, more, you know, putting sex scenes back in TV shows, which is something that for a while people were thinking audiences didn't really like.

It turns out they do like them.

So I do think we will see more like this.
