So X, TikTok, Reels, like something that is a short, appealing, fast edit video thing is like perfectly designed to go viral.
So the phrase horny on Maine is sort of this meme joke of, you know, that it would be weird if you were using your real name and, you know, Maine social account as opposed to, you know, a Finsta or a secret account.
A fake account.
To, you know, say...
horny things right like a lot of time that might be like complimenting other people i'm not like like so hot or something like that um but it's it's sort of because everyone thinks these guys are so handsome that's kind of given license to people to be like oh my god like these guys are so hot um in a way that's sort of it's a little bit liberating i think to to feel like it's okay to be a real person and be like oh my god like run me over with the bus right uh these guys are so hot
I think there's something very unique about this show.
I do think, however, that based on the success of the show, we are probably going to see a lot more things that are trying to replicate the
you know, the vibes of this show, whether that's more romance, more gay romance, more, you know, putting sex scenes back in TV shows, which is something that for a while people were thinking audiences didn't really like.
It turns out they do like them.
So I do think we will see more like this.
I don't know if we will see exactly the level of psychosis around this.
I think that there's a couple.
I mean, one thing that I think I've been hearing from gay men a lot about why they like the show is that it's sort of refreshing to see a gay romance that isn't tragic or problematic or the main thrust of it isn't something terrible is happening to them.
That it's sort of, you know, just joyful and romantic and sexy.
And so I think that people are really responding to that, too.
Thank you for having me.
