Mothers have called me asking if it is safe to go to my child's appointment.
Women have asked if they should
cancel English classes, Afghan families and many immigrant families are confused about their legal status and afraid to travel for work even within their own states.
Fear is not abstract.
It is in our classrooms.
It is in our clinics.
It is in our homes.
Families feel unstable.
We are living in uncertain society these days.
Because of this, advocacy in Connecticut has shifted.
on the ground like ours are spending more time on know-your-right training.
