So I think the vibes around sinners have gotten really strong in just the last few days before voting closed.
And Michael B. Jordan has been a star for such a long time and has really never had a moment of recognition like this.
So as you have this sinner surge happening, in the meantime, Timothee Chalamet, who's nominated for Marty Supreme, he's been the presumed frontrunner all season.
And then he doesn't win at BAFTA or Actor Awards.
And then, right as Oscar voting closes, starts a war with the worlds of opera and ballet with some offhand comments he made in an interview.
That interview basically went out after Oscar voting ended, so I don't think it really impacted how people voted.
But it really tells you how the enthusiasm around Chalamet has cooled, while the energy around Michael B. Jordan, I think, was only growing and growing up until the moment that Oscar voting closed.
So in supporting actress, we've really had three contenders who've each had a big victory.
Tiana Taylor for One Battle After Another, one at the Golden Globes in January.
Wunmi Masako of Sinners, one at BAFTA.
And then Amy Madigan for Weapons, one at the Actor Awards.
So they all have a real claim to being the winner here.
I go back and forth basically every minute about who I think is going to win this category.
So, OK, you got Wunmi Masako for Sinners.
Cursed to live here with all this hate.
Another great, like, great breakout performance for someone who's been so good in so many things.
Tiana Taylor in One Battle After Another, like, she runs away with that movie.
But that's the thing is she disappears and you never forget her.
They're going to bring her back.
