And the consequence of doing that is you have to work harder and longer than you should.
So again, it's about how do you get your assets off?
or what's left over to work as hard as possible for you.
Because end goal of any plan is to ensure that you can kind of take yourself out of the equation and then your assets are working as hard as possible to fund your lifestyle.
When you're in that build-up phase, which most of us are, we're reliant on the income that we earn to fund our lifestyle.
Ideally speaking, though, if we can carve off
as much as we can to productively invest, that means that those investments will grow in time, which means we don't have to work.
And that's the whole idea of having a holistic plan and making sure you're growing wealth.
Yeah.
And let's be honest, most people don't have spare money just sitting around.
We actually have to create it.
And to me, that means understanding cash flow.
And I keep on repeating myself, but without shame, I think that's really important.
And I think sorting that cash flow piece, it needs to be based on...
your values and your wants and cutting leakage because leakage just, when you look at it and kind of zoom out, it does exist.
And yes, it's a cost of living crisis.
I understand that.
But that leakage can be in lots of different places.
It could be in your mortgage structure, paying too much interest.
It could be in less productive investments.
