Yeah.
I didn't like it, to be honest.
It's not that I didn't like it.
It's really well written and it's a great book and it's very of the time that we're in.
However, I don't like being in the head of a character that I don't really like.
And she wasn't very forgiven in any way.
There was no context at all, really, for why generally when you read a book like that, you're like, oh, well, she became that way because of this.
Now, there was some things.
But the rise of the far right in terms of men and the trad wife or the silently quitting or isn't that the thing?
slowly moving out of work and slowly giving up if in terms of some women I think is to do with this lie that we can be everything and do everything and the truth is the systems and the structures are not in place for us to do and be everything in fact like we've more pressure now like we've four roles like five womanhood motherhood bodyhood friendhood daughterhood
You know, and we're supposed to be excellent at all of them.
And we live in a world now where you can just, in your pocket, pull something out and see everybody doing it so well.
Yes.
And, like, LinkedIn and Instagram and TikTok.
And, like, a lot of women I know are just either think they have ADHD because they're not coping well, or maybe they do have it, or they are slowly quitting things.
And some women are like moving into trad wives or actually deciding, actually, I cannot do it all because I just don't think we can do it all.
No, it's really hard.
Yeah.
It's really hard.
