So that would suggest that he's going to trust Cass to sort it out.
Now, it can only be sorted out this summer if Manchester City accept Cass's decision.
If the decision goes against them, theoretically, they could still appeal to the...
swiss uh appeals tribunal they could take it to the european courts so this could drag on and on i've seen cases that have started at uefa um you know last through the courts for 10 years but if we believe what the manchester city chief executive uh is telling us this week he expects it uh to be sorted out uh early this summer and i still think i've got a
I've got a feeling that Manchester City are looking forward to putting their defence, their case in front of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
They've just had a feeling all along this process that they weren't going to get a fair hearing at UEFA for whatever reason.
I mean, personally speaking, I find that a bit difficult to believe because UEFA's financial control body and its investigators and its judges
are considered to be independent and they are made up of former lawyers and judges and politicians from all over europe people like the former prime minister of belgium but for whatever reason manchester city don't have faith in these people they don't have faith in uefa and what will be interesting is of course at cass they will be in front of
who they believe will be truly independent judging panel.
And what is actually interesting is that at that case in Cass, UEFA will be sending their own lawyers.
And we've seen in cases before at Cass, for instance, PSG case, where PSG send a team of very high-powered lawyers, some of the best lawyers in the world,
Whereas UEFA just send a couple of people from their in-house legal department.
So I think there's a good chance that Manchester City at Cass will be able to get this ban reduced or overturned.
And I'm not sure how hard UEFA's lawyers are going to be fighting to have this ban upheld at Cass.
Because in a way, UEFA's financial control body has made the point
You know, they have punished Manchester City.
And even if this ban is overturned, at least UEFA can say, well, look, we did our job.
We investigated.
Our independent bodies investigated and punished Manchester City.
I think at the moment what we're seeing is...
