And so, with that, on Friday, the prosecution called their first rebuttal witness.

This was Dr.

Avra Mack, who interviewed Clancy twice in April 2026 and reviewed her medical and investigative records.

Now, Dr.

Mack agreed that Lindsay had a serious mental illness, diagnosing a major depressive episode with anxiety and obsessive thinking.

However, he claimed that this mental illness was not postpartum.

Crucially, he also said he found no evidence of mania, hypomania, or psychosis.

And this all comes back to that key question that we keep mentioning in this trial, and that it's all about criminal responsibility.

While Dr.

Mack has agreed that Lindsay was suffering from mental illness, his assessment does not reach the threshold to suggest that Lindsay did not have capacity during these killings.
