I'm now joined by Luke Kenton, Steve Helling, and Rachel Sharp, Daily Mail crime reporters who have followed this case for years.
They're here to discuss recent reporting that will shed light on aspects of Chris Watts' double life.
Prior to the murders, Watts pursued side relationships on dating apps and elsewhere.
Luke was recently in Colorado for an interview with Amanda McMahon.
She was a hairstylist going through a divorce when she says she connected with Watts on Tinder for a casual encounter.
Here's Amanda telling Luke how things went down.
to talk it down a little bit but i knew what it was when going into it and he made it very clear so you know when we met that first time in the parking lot you know like i knew it was going to happen so luke we heard in that clip that amanda said that chris watts was very hookup minded how does that square with what we know about chris and what he was looking for at that time in his life
And we know that Watts told Amanda he was also in the middle of a breakup and he complained about a woman he said was the mother of his children.
He did not refer to her as his wife.
And it sounds like he did a fair amount of complaining to Amanda about Shanann while also lying about who she was and what was actually going on between them.
