And even with planes, helicopters, radios, and cell phones, it is still extremely dangerous to enter.

And whether you believe that there are unknowable creatures deep inside, the park is littered with names of dead men and women who could not escape the so-called curse of Nahanni.

There's McLeod Creek named for the McLeod brothers.

There's also O'Brien's Mountain named for the man who froze to death.

There's also May Creek named after a woman who vanished without a trace after catching the madness of the valley, they say.

Everywhere you go, there is a reminder of the mystery that the valley holds.
