Alejandro Kirk's the most important one, guys.

He was here yesterday doing some base running drills.

Base running doesn't matter much when your thumb's broken, so I didn't care too much about Alejandro Kirk's beautiful foot speed out here in the bases, but his thumb is getting a little better.

Maybe we're two weeks away from that.

Let's call it two-ish weeks.

When Alejandro Kirk is back, that changes this whole lineup.

Outside of Vladdy, I think Kirk is one of those real foundational players who is critical to the whole identity of this team.

Not just the pitching staff, but the lineup too.

Because the Blue Jays, when they're at their best, make a ton of contact, then they can land the uppercut.

Contacts great, but you need power on top of it.

That's who Kirk is.

He's all contact, and if you hang one, he will hit it out.

That is what the Blue Jays need more of.

Yes, Addison Barger coming back, and others will help, but Kirk, man, I cannot overstate his importance to this team.

I always say that for people at home, however important you think Alejandro Kirk is, double it and triple it.

I promise you it's that much to this team, and man, they have missed him.

It's been a long, old time from that broken thumb, but they need him back.

Yeah, guys, that's when the Blue Jays are in a good place, when they can start letting performance drive this.

Performance has not been driving this in a lot of situations, and that's just by necessity.

You need healthy bodies.
