And we act like we can just spit in his face, claim the blood of Christ is enough, and act like it's going to be okay.

Yeah, I'm reminded of a story my dad told.
My dad told me the story about the time he prayed over his power tools.
Um, like one time he was like working in our backyard.
I was a kid and he was working on a project in the backyard, ends up coming inside for dinner, completely forgets that his power tools are in the backyard and he gets snuggled up in bed at night, like almost asleep.
And he remembers like in that like twilight little place where he's almost asleep, my tools are in the backyard and he's already so warm in bed.
He literally just put his hand up towards the door, like wherever the back door was.
And he was like, Lord, protect my power tools.
Um,
while they're out there tonight, let it not rain on them and let no one steal them.
And he heard the Holy Spirit tell him, I do what you can't do, not what you won't do.
