Well, in South Korea, Buddhist temples have stepped in to help by hosting special dating retreats to boost population growth.
These bi-monthly matchmaking sessions started three years ago and today births are bouncing back.
Not only that, interest among young people in dating and marriage is soaring.
Our correspondent in Seoul, Jake Kwon, headed to a secluded mountainside temple to meet the singles looking for love.
We're at Donghwasa, a Buddhist temple in the south of the country.
And here, there are 12 men and 12 women, very busy talking to each other.
This is 나는절로, or I'm going to the temple, a two-day matchmaking retreat organized by the country's largest Buddhist group.
It began in 2023, inspired by a hit dating show.
That year, South Korea recorded the lowest birth rate in the world.
The host, Yoo Chul-joo, made it his work to bring young men and women together.
The day began with awkward introductions and ice-breaking round in the courtyard.
I think I want to have some baby and family, you know.

Another participant, Sun Ye-ji, says she always wanted to get married in her 20s.
