No, I think that's a good number, Jeff.
I think you're right in terms of I don't know what Ziv's going to be.
I don't think a lot of people know what he's going to be because, like you said, he's only played 76 games, and half of that was with a Vancouver team who wasn't very good last season.
But if you're the Vancouver Canucks front office,
you have to make some risks, some calculated risks, some bets on the future because that's what you're building towards.
And this could be a turning, like a building block for the future because he's hopefully going to be your number one defenseman for a very long time.
And if you, like I said, if you only sign him to that three, four year deal,
Because if he does kind of go on the trajectory that you expect him to go on, when the end of that deal is up and the salary cap is at, let's call it $150 million, he's going to be worth, let's call it $17 to $22 million on the salary cap.
And where if you sign him to an eight-year deal, you can probably get him for 10%.
Ten, eleven million dollars right now.
So when he's playing, you know, towards the end of that, going into his late 20s, he's going to be on a really strong value contract.
Like you mentioned a lot of Jake Sanderson right now, who's on a really incredible deal.
And so if you're Vancouver, you kind of want to make that bet because you want to be in a position to build around him financially.
But yeah, like I think a lot of these GMs don't necessarily know.
And I think there are worse guys to make bets on than this player who has a strong draft pedigree.
His micro stats are really good.
He's good at puck retrievals.
He's good at zone exits, zone entries.
He's going to get a lot of power play one time next season.
So we'll see how that plays out for him.
