And I remember, this is when I still used Facebook, my friends in Michigan said,

posting positive pro-trump content and i was like this feels a little weird and my friends in new york were like what are you talking about he's crazy no one's gonna vote for him i was like i don't know guys uh and when he got elected i just had that same thing where like when i was in when i had first seen new york it's the same fucking thing wow where i was like i need to change careers

And so I did.

It wasn't even like, should I?

It was like, I need to.

And it's probably naive to be like, I can make a difference.

But I just really felt like I could.

And so it's not like I changed careers and then it's the next day I'm sitting across from Gavin Newsom.

And I volunteered my local Democratic club.

And I just did the same thing that I always do, which is like, I just want to learn how this works.

I want to meet people.

I want to learn how this works.

And I can work hard.

And thank God, I think I'm pretty smart.

So I can learn pretty fast, too.

So when I so getting that job actually at the city council was incredible because it was only two years prior that I was like, I want to work in politics.

And I was like then in City Hall in New York City working in politics.
