I am doing pretty well, Dave.

Thank you so much for having me.

I thought it would be relevant because we get along so well with the democratic socialists when it comes to criticizing the Afghan war, the Iraq war, Libya, Syria, Gaza, and now Iran.

But something interesting happened where in the Iran war, there was such a clear correlation between –

trump and netanyahu starting the war against iran the supply of gas and oil being heavily restricted restricting the supply and the cost immediately going up the democratic socialists were humble enough to say you know it looks like coercive government intervention limiting the supply that's available to the market drastically increased the supply

drastically increase the cost of this product to everyone in the economy.

This is contrary to the view that high prices are the result of greed and corporations being privately owned.

So now not only are we in good agreement with them on foreign policy, even in the economic realm, they're still considering the fact that the state restricting the supply could lead to higher prices than we otherwise would have.

So I thought it'd be a good opportunity to discuss this with them.

Exactly.

Condoleezza Rice actually got something right once on a podcast.

It was incredible.

She's talking to Andrew Roberts, and he said, what is the most interesting historical counterfactual that you like to consider?

And she thought about it and said, you know, in early 1917, the Allies – America, Britain, France –

should not have pushed Alexander Kerensky's regime in Russia to stay in the war.

By doing that and reallocating resources toward a war effort, what happened was the Bolsheviks ran on peace, bread, and land, and that's what appealed to the people.

The state was so war-hungry, so focused on murdering other people that when they heard the Bolsheviks offering peace, bread, and land, then the people saw, hey, maybe the Bolsheviks aren't my first choice, but this war is so psychotic.

I think Russia lost 1.7 million people in the First World War.

Then it drew people to them.

And that's exactly where Donald Trump is bringing us.
