He's making those hustle effort plays.
He's just a fluid player where he's making the right pass.
He's attacking closeouts when he needs to.
And so you've seen this like
bright spot in the grizzly season so far where all of a sudden this guy has been super promising he also started the season on an unbelievable heater from the three-point line it was kind of funny because he comically could make nothing in the preseason and this is a guy who barely played division one basketball didn't play summer league because he was recovering from a shoulder issue he suffered last winter and then when the regular season started he's like oh i'm good
I am now Jimmy Butler with a three-pointer.
And there's another comp for you.
Yeah, he's a Michael Jordan, Kawhi Michael Jordan type player, if you will.
So yeah, Cedric's been really fun.
He's really good.
I feel somewhat relieved that my infatuation with him two years ago wasn't totally off base.
He did look so promising the year the Grizzlies were horrible a couple of years ago.
The John Morant suspension season, probably the wheel of fandom landed on me several times that year and everything went horribly for the Grizzlies.
So he looked so good a couple years ago as a primary defensive stopper.
He was guarding Steph Curry and Luka Doncic and Kevin Durant.
This guy was the person they had to put on the other team's best player.
But he also was making good passes and offensive rebounds.
And he's getting deflections, steals.
And so he showed that.
And then last year, he just wasn't very good.
