I think that the the follow-up question of you know, as you just alluded to, the fact that there are portions of this going to administrative costs again um in the resolution uh section I think three six again spoke to cost recovery, uh which m might be opposed to what I'd heard say y that we cannot charge above and beyond podcast-host

cost recovery then and so I think that what I was asking is are we able to articulate to the public what the difference is between what the compensation rate need increase was and then what the cost recovery portion of that was. podcast-host

If I was a I AM a rate payer and I wanted to say, Okay, my rates are going up, how much of this is because the compensation changed and what of this is extra? podcast-host

Um when we look at our RENA and it's increased almost fifty percent. podcast-host

uh over that um by twenty thirty uh we have s uh an adequate like a uh robust podcast-host

Urban um plan right now for housing. podcast-host

And I think Rena shared with us that in 2023 and potentially this year as well, we are the largest growing city in California, the fastest growing city in California in terms of housing right now. podcast-host

So I I don't want to approach this from a mentality of we're in a housing shortage. podcast-host

I think there's always an opportunity for more affordable housing, but I think planning that in adequate and correct space. podcast-host

spaces is incredibly important. podcast-host

And when we look at what brings money into our our general fund quickly, if there's this need for light industrial office, I think that we have a responsibility to capitalize on that. podcast-host

I also want to uh understand that staff has done the work to put forward three properties that have historically not been appropriate for housing, um, have not, you know, been petitioned for that. podcast-host
