Yeah, you know, every, you know, I always believe every year, you know, every team runs its own race.

So things change from year to year.

You know, you played players, you know, between being a 22 year old player and a 26 year old player, lots of things in your life can change.

You might be married, you might have children, you might be at a different point in your contract, you might feel you're at a different point.

in your career.

So you constantly have to be evolving as a coach to be able to manage like that.

I think when you look at some of the coaches in the league who've had longer tenures, I think they really are adept at that.

And the demands of the job, it's a hard job being an NHL head coach.

There's a lot of pressure.

There's pressure from media.

There's pressure from management, from ownership that

comes into play.

And I think that, uh, you know, eventually, um, when you push as hard as you have to push to be successful, sometimes it wears, uh, on players.

And that's, uh, where you get to the point where, you know, some of that passion and enthusiasm that you need to be successful starts to, uh, starts to waver a bit.

And, you know, I'm, I'm making that as a blanket statement, not necessarily per se to our own, uh, situation that we're just going through.

But when you ask the question sort of overall, uh,

When you look at the longest-tenured coaches, it's a list that's got some names on it that you wouldn't expect based on them not being in their teams very long.

Well, you're asking a good question.

I think you need to be careful making the association that the goaltending is completely the reason that our team is playing like we're playing.

It's part of it, right?
