It can be working with them for a period of time until they can, you know, find a replacement and onboard.

I would limit your time to offer that.

I would not make that indefinite.

But there are ways to do it with integrity and kindness, you know, professional kindness, but not continue on.

This a little bit relates to the story I've told in the past about

You know, I was in law school.

For background, I thought I was gonna be a public defender.

I worked at a public defender's office between my two L and three L year and realized I actually didn't want to do that and I wanted to go into civil practice and that's a really late time to realize that.

And because of that, I was taking a full course load and interning with like a small civil litigation law firm, a tiny one, just to like learn that area of law to make sure I did want to do it and then also to get the experience to show that I did want to do it.

I got that job and I think it was only like two or three months later I found out that for my second semester of my three L year I got a judicial clerkship that was part of like my law schools program.

But I could not clerk for the judge, intern for the judge, while also still working at a civil litigation firm.

It's like a conflict of interest.

And I felt like, What man, this civil litigation firm just hired me.

I can't now leave them.

And I called my dad, who is incredibly principled and very loyal.

And just, you know, he's like a very

Just really principled guy.

I won't even go into all the stories, but just know that.

And I called him and just explained the position, like the issue that I was dealing with.

And I was like, But I really want to do this judicial clerkship.
