I suppose if I had to pick on something, I would say to qualify.
I'm not a Luddite.
I'm also not somebody who thinks the world is coming to an end on a firestorm created by the baby boomers.
I think that selling catastrophe, and even when there's parts of it that are real, is a super...
lucrative business and people make you have whole business models on TikTok and Facebook and Twitter where they're essentially selling catastrophe and especially catastrophe that involves like you've been fucked over.
And maybe I can allude to like who it is that have done that to you.
So I am actually persistently optimistic about the world, even in the face of like, I know who's the president right now.
And I know what, like, I just, I can't even believe how stupid that is and how awful and venal and
corrupt and terrible and that conversation sells and it sells extra well because it's true right but it's not the only thing that is true you know like there's lots of things that are true at the very same time that is true and lots and lots of those things don't sell like in an attention economy but you have to sit and wait for them
And as a matter of fact, I like to have a Facebook account, mostly because I need to keep track of Chris and Sue and the different people in my life.
I get to watch their children grow up and find out.
It's not like they're going to call everyone they've ever met and say, oh, I was diagnosed with cancer.
but i want to know and so it gives me a way and facebook i suppose because some aggregation of friends and followers that i have is trying to help me improve the engagement of my content like would you like to use ai to make your content more engaging to your audience and i'm like like
Dude, I just want to talk about the trail run I went on this morning.
And I have friends in different places in the world who, we share these different things.
It's just this drum beat.
Like I turned in, Facebook turned me into a content creator.
It's like right there in my probe.
