Obviously, when you talk to people about where they get their local news from, it's fragmented.
It's across a number of different websites.
And clearly, people use Facebook and Twitter to access news.
But I would sort of describe that as like a proxy.
The first reason you go to Facebook is because your friends and family are there.
Because you're bored.
Yeah, because you're bored.
You want to be distracted a little bit, right?
I mean, a good example, my Facebook feed right now is kind of stuck in the UK.
Whilst I'm here in Austin, it's not that useful to me.
So we wanted to create a location-driven experience.
We looked at all the news aggregated services out there, and some were really good experiences, but they didn't...
They weren't using the full power of the mobile phone.
The mobile phone knows where you are.
And with that information, we can kind of solve the problem from end to end.
Okay, so these are news articles that you could potentially find on the Austin Chronicle, the Texas Tribune, the traditional local news publishers that exist in this area today.
But there's also many other kind of smaller publishers.
these often get described as hyperlocals.
And that could be just... And they come in all shapes and sizes.
