That hey, if I can help companies to operate better and people s spend so much part of their life working, like I can make the Soviet Asia a better place.
So that was the the genesis of it also.
But I think the trigger at Harvard Business School was that when it was when uh Peter Two came to school to give a speech, right?
And at the time he just published the book Zero to One.
Of concentrating.
Of course trying to sell the book as well.
But it was very inspiring.
And one thing that he said, which shook me a bit, was that he mentioned that Asia doesn't need innovation.
Asia just needs execution because it's so far behind.
Which is annoying but factually accurate in 2014, right?
Mm.
when that's the time when you have the the I don't know Uber of Southeast Asia, the the PayPal or whatever so for Southeast Asia, right?
So so there was a lot of room to catch up.
So that's why following with the whole motivation of trying to do something for Southeast Asia and payback we thought, okay, let's see what can we do for the region and following the same line of thought that given that Southeast Asia is behind terms of innovation, let's look at what are the most innovative companies in US in the last five
Five to ten years.
So first criteria was what we're passionate about.
Second criteria was well, we have a path to be number one.
So we have seen very good biotech companies, but obviously we're not well suited to be number one in that phrase, uh that that area.
And number three is w whether it can be a big and impactful company in a region or so.
