We're also, and we've said this uh publicly, but it's worth reiterating, we're gonna pay a hundred percent of the cost of the cost overruns.
And let's be honest, you look at these projects, they all we're gonna run a responsible project, but our friends in Vegas that are building a ballpark right now, I was just out there, you know, they broke ground this past year in twenty twenty five.
They're opening in April.
And they committed over a billion.
That's correct.
So
So so you've got a dynamic at play where we've got to make a responsible decision and we're trying to mitigate all of the public risk in the project.
Uh and um and the outcome of course will have, you know, over thirty-two billion dollars of economic impact to our region.
with help from the state that, you know, you heard the governor, you've heard the commissioner.
I think everybody recognizes baseball belongs in Tampa Bay and baseball should be in Tampa Bay.
And now people are willing to write a check to support that and we're gonna do our part and we're gonna lead the way.
Yeah, we'll we'll keep doing economic studies all day.
And uh so we're data driven, right?
When you talk about integrity and credibility, right?
I'm standing up there, our partners are standing up there, putting these numbers, nobody's operating without, you know, making sure that we get the data right.
So we did an initial study with a company called RCL Co, put the first wave of data out about a month ago.
heard from the community and and this is the beauty of having these public open transparent discussions they said and and and electeds by the way elected officials want to see more information they said well would you go out and do a second study so we went to Brantford and Dunlevy and did a second study.
The first study RCL Co was actually at the request of the county specifically to hire that firm because they are so um expensive
