It's one of the things that helped me become a better writer. matched

I don't have permission to name her, but Amy Justice was one of the critical mentors in my career, who was my colleague at Case. matched

And we basically read each other's work. matched

And we, I think, both learned we were better at teaching each other how to write than we were able to write ourselves. matched

And that there's something about trying to help somebody else write that also makes you a better writer. matched

I think one good hack, I mean, along those lines, Eric, is whenever you go to a professional meeting, toss your fear aside and take somebody that you actually think might be too busy for you, but you would just love to talk to and send them an email and butter them up. matched

you know, that's, I think, also a great way to network and meet people. matched

Also, some meetings, I know, like SGIM and AGS have these mentoring sessions where you basically can sign up to be mentored by, like a junior person can sign up to be mentored by a senior person. matched

And I know of a number of really good relationships that develop through those. matched

So, you know, it sometimes is a little bit fearsome. matched
