I mean I think like if they had given you unlimited resources, Nikki, to do this as an observational study.
So for example, that I think it's possible like one might have had a different answer if you actually could have done a patient a geriatric assessment in both groups.
Um you know, and and actually put all the stuff that we said you couldn't measure, you actually could have adjusted for that.
I I think the other one the other thing I wonder too is that
You know, that the outcome you measured is certainly important.
And you know, and I think it's uh the kind of our outcome we often take to the people who pay for healthcare.
Because I I mean, obviously one of the motivations of this is well if we could tell like the VA that, oh, you're gonna save money on emergency room use or hospitalizations, like it's the clinic will pay for itself.
Of course, we do a lot of things in healthcare.
I sometimes object that geriatric
and palliative medicine, why do our interventions have to pay for themselves if they do good for patients?
The cardiologists never have to make that argument.
So
Th that said, I'm also wondering like a lot of the things that might happen that are good in a jerry packed are things that were difficult to measure.
So that life space mobility, for example.
So if you got you know, they got the right therapy.
Um we helped them get the mobility equipment they needed.
They actually could use their bathrooms and showers because we thought about putting in grab bars.
So
That that there's a lot of aspects of quality of life that I wonder if were better, or like, you know, caregiver burden or caregiver stress.
So that th there's a lot of other outcomes that I think, you know, maybe aren't cost outcomes, but would have like impacted quality of life.
