Well, I think the first thing I'd do, Joe, and I always do, is I would want to do a sweeping review of the whole entire club, inside and out, and find out what is going on.
What are the water cooler conversation?
What is, as we always say, Joe, what's in the walls?
Who are these external stakeholders?
Who are the board members?
Who's influencing players?
I want to know all of that, and I want to know why the players behave the way they do.
I want to know the whole dynamic.
And once I got a feel for that, I think I would make a decision.
And one thing I would say is,
The capacity that James would have is it would look like, you know, the fork that I said to you on the left in terms of, you know, being the very old S&D way, but he's been away for a while now.
He's gone away, done different things, run his own business and investing firm, and he could maybe change it from the inside.
I think that's more work and harder work, but that might be the option that they go down.
My natural inclination is that it won't be James, would be my presumption on day one.
Oh, it's a good question.
My history past sort of Kevin Sheedy is a bit blurry, but I think it's about time they get moving.
I think Carlton have shown some glimmer, you know, where it was that final run in 2023.
There's some glimmers there.
I just haven't seen a glimmer from Essendon in a long time.
