And also, he liked the French pronunciation of his last name, which most people say Thoreau, but it's Thoreau.
Thoreau, like thoroughly, thoroughly, or thorough job, or thorough, as opposed to Thoreau.

Thoreau.
See, I have trouble now saying Thoreau because I've gotten so used to Thoreau.
So I won't correct you every time you mess up, but it is a bit of a learning curve.
