was an energy guy for their affiliate in Iowa.

But Roussel was a guy that, even though he was scratched the previous season and played 48 games for the Chicago Wolves, he's their fourth-line center, and he's playing 10 minutes a night.

He's a guy that stays out after practice.

He's a guy that wants to make sure his 10 minutes are the best 10 minutes he can have.

He gets invited to Dallas camp, and he just grinds his way into the lineup.

Another great discovery story.

I mean, the best discovery story in the book is a story that can't happen anymore.

There's no such thing as having a rink to yourself, let alone a league to yourself.

But once upon a time, Jerry McNamara had an entire country to himself, and that's how he discovered Boria Salming and Inger Hamström for the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 1972.

And then there's also a story about how Rick Knickle found

Jordan Tutu for the National Predators and it's because Rick was back with his old junior team and Brandon helping out during his summer camp with some Bantam guys and there's this little wrecking ball out there and

Rick ends up coaching him in scrimmage, and he just starts making notes on this guy when the guy's 14.

And lo and behold, all these years later, he convinces David Poyle, you've got to trade up to 90 so we can take 2-2.

So that was kind of a cool story.

So Rick fought hard for 2-2.

Jerry McNamara fought hard for, you know, Boria Solomon put his rep on the line.

So, yeah, these guys are definitely putting their reps on the line for sure.

So there are good discovery stories in there.
