Man, if you're bookended, like if you're in the early pre-tape and in the cold open, that's a 7 a.m.
pickup and a midnight dismissal after the cold open kind of thing.
So Friday can be pretty gruesome sometimes if you're, you know, catching that.
Like, you know, some people used to catch it to where they were like.
Like Bobby Moynihan, I used to talk about what we were talking like recently, because we're in the celebrity autobiography on Broadway now.
And we did open a night together and we were reminiscing about how sometimes he wouldn't even get a chance to come into the studio on Fridays because he would be in all three pre tapes.
So he'd just be in pre tape world.
And like when they were doing three pre tapes back then, that night pre tape could go till six in the morning or something on Saturday.
So it's like a 24 hour day.
I think he did.
Like a 24-hour day and then like never went home.
He just came back to 30 Rock or something for Saturday because we're in by like noon or something like that.
Like, yeah, it can be pretty gnarly as the week goes on.
And then Saturday is a super long day, like noon to 1.30.
And it just it is what it is.
You try to find your little naps when you can or not if you're just young and I hate you.
But yeah, it's fantastic because for some reason the job always gets done and the adrenaline kicks in and it's just like, man, the dump of energy at the end of the night is just so wild and crazy.
And that calm down, even if you had a bad night,
It's like, man, made it through the week and you only got one day to turn it around.
You're back on Monday pitching a new idea and starting fresh, you know?
