You know, I grew up doing kid stuff and a lot of my colleagues have written kids books.
So it seemed like a natural thing.
next step after a memoir kind of thing so I did my memoir and then it was just like you know what other books would I like to write like I'm not a you know a super duper you know author like I don't want to do like fiction necessarily and write a book no novel you know I don't have a lion the witch and the itch kind of itch but
You know, I do enjoy, you know, the possibilities in the kid realm because, you know, a book can turn into a cartoon.
It can turn into toothbrush and toothpaste and like, you know, live shows and stuff like that.
It's just so much like...
possibilities in that realm without, you know, the stakes being too high, you know, or just not fun.
You know, so it seems like whatever ventures we go down with the unfunny bunny, it'll be just fun in the making, you know, and it won't really matter as far as like how successful it might become or not kind of thing.
It'll be fun along the way.
And I think that'll be my victories.
Whenever you were picking the illustrator you're working with, did you see different versions of the drawings and like pick whatever felt like the best to like your mind of what you pictured to look like?
I think so.
And like I saw some really great ones, like, you know, kind of abstract kind of people that like draw more abstract kind of drawings.
And those were really, really cool.
But it wasn't the tone of this.
I think the tone of this was just more like...
you know, sorry, like broad and like, you know, colorful and like round faces and, you know, kind of like the Pixar approach where everybody's kind of like, you know, rosy cheeked a little bit.
Your kids like it?
They love it.
