I always look at this year as a gap year for them.
They're trying to figure out.
They got almost $100 million of cap space this offseason.
I know a lot of that should go to Austin Reeves.
But after that, it's about building around Luka.
You have to remember that Luka kind of fell into their lap.
And they had a team built for AD and LeBron.
It wasn't a well-built team, but it was built for those guys.
And you add in a guy like Luka, who changed the dynamic of the entire franchise, this is a team that's good enough to maybe win a playoff series.
But ultimately, they're not going to do the things that Lakers fans want them to do, which is win a championship.
They're maybe a year or two away from being a true contender.
Yeah, I think Billy is a legend in college basketball.
I think his NBA tenure has had a couple good seasons, but mostly bad seasons.
