Hey, mate, thanks for having me, yeah.
It was a great win.
I mean, obviously, a lot of injuries, so we're undermanned, and it was just one of those wins that we had to get done to keep our final steps alive, so it was a big sigh of relief last night.
Yeah, obviously we got out to the start we wanted and then, you know, credit to them all when they came back, fought hard and, you know, we just wanted to get back to how we play every new day.
If we stuck to our game plan like we practiced all week, then, you know, we'll put ourselves in a great spot and lucky enough we were able to get at the end and, yeah, the buzzer couldn't come sooner enough.
Yeah, you know, the last couple of years have obviously put us in good stead for that and, you know, it's nothing new to us, so
it was just one of those games that we all just had to give our best individually and do what we do best and leave the result up to itself.
Wayne gave us great confidence.
He never worried about all the injuries and all the people that were out.
We just had to not sulk and not whine.
The only people that could get the result was us, 17 on the field.
It was a great game.
It was a gritty game.
No matter how
you know, gritty or how ugly it looks.
You know, two points is two points, so we'll take it.
Yeah, Ward, he's just coming into his own.
He's only a young kid, you know, and he's got a big career ahead and, you know, he's going to be the halfback
for South Sydney in the near future.
He's a humble kid.
