So I read all over the shop, a lot of nonfiction, as I said, especially for work, but a lot of fiction as well.
Right now, there are two different areas I'm reading in.
One is for a project that I have about girl guides in the Second World War.
So I'm reading a lot of things around World War II.
And my two favorite reads have been The Night of the Assassins by Howard Bloom and How the Girl Guides Won the War by Janie Hampton, which is just incredible.
And the other area I'm reading a lot around is about animals, because my second project that is coming out next year is called Goldenpaw, and it is a straight animal fantasy in the same tone as The Jungle Book or Watership Down or Warriors or Guardians of G'huul, those kinds of real classic animal fantasy tales.
I don't manage to find the time to read a lot of fiction for myself for my own pleasure.
But when I do, I'm a binge reader.
So if I start to read a Georgette Hare, that's it.
No one can talk to me for like three hours and then it's done.
And, you know, I have no sort of sense of self-control, but it's like putting a tablet of chocolate in front of me and saying, just have one piece.
