Really grateful for that opportunity.

I don't think there'll be another player like him, but that player has evolved.

You know?

You have a pioneer, they set the standard or this is the level and we just have these wonderful young people that come through and pick it up and add a bit to this and add another bit.

So yeah, he's the one that set that level for a lot of people.

I think it was a tough moment, not just personally, but for us as a team.

And when I say team, that includes our management as well, because there was a huge expectation.

I think earlier in the year as well, it was the first time that an All Black side had said, these All Blacks are not playing because we're going to try and get them prepared for the World Cup.

Yeah.

So we didn't play the first part of the Super Rugby.

And you can imagine, you know, that's obviously all the grief that you would have been getting from the rugby world as well from here in New Zealand.

So that was a challenge.

And then to go through the World Cup and not win.

Yeah.

Means there's no take back, you know, so.

I think just coming back, failing people's expectations, failing our own expectations to win.

And like we talked about before, if you're going through things and you're not learning from it, then it's not a lesson, right?

Yeah.

So probably one of the biggest things that New Zealand rugby did was keep the coaches on.
