Oh, wow.

Yeah, I was just watching games in the sleeping bag, you know, in those afternoon games.

I just think there was always the want and drive to want to be there.

I always share the moment of what does my first All Blacks moment look like?

It was Sir Michael Jones scoring the try at the Rugby World Cup.

Yeah.

You know, he was a beautiful mullet.

He was probably one of the originators of that mullet.

And he was athletic.

He looked different to everyone else.

Not to say anything bad about anyone else, but he looked different.

And so, yeah, me and Brother Luke were always in the backyard trying to practice that dive, you know.

So I officially became an All Black in 2002.

And probably the proudest moment for me, you know, just being able to see my parents proud, my family proud.

Those are the bits that actually, that's what makes it worth it, you know.

The other ones, they were there from day one.

Trainings.

My dad would always help me clean my boots, put the paper in and put it next to the fire.

You know, mum would always help me make sure my bag was prepped well.

So just being able to return the love and say thank you for getting me to this point.
