I also found a camping gas thing out in my shed which was meant we could have soup, we could have coffee, we could actually fry an egg if I wanted to.
Simple stuff to keep you warm.
On a cold winter's day with no access to anything else, say there's a snow storm outside, it's nice to have something hot to have it.
So th I would ask people to look at it in that light that you could be out of uh
communication as it were with the outside world for maybe twenty four hours at least.
If you've got two or three days and you live in a rural area, do plan this.
It doesn't take much.
You do have time
Uh, does cost a few bonds, but not enough to upset you in the long term.
You do.
As I said, I didn't know I had a wind up radio and or gas in my shell until I looked for it because it was here since I'd had a requirement for it.
But I'm very concerned too about what we've seen on television with to do with wildfires, for example, in places like Germany, France, UK, US, they've those people have had to move out of their houses and stay in mandatory overnight capacity, uh you know, places at local hubs.
Something we don't do here.
I mean if if if I had to move out for various reasons like that, I'm not sure what we would do in in a central area.
And uh the stockpiling is a good idea, but if you can't keep basic stuff to keep you alive for two or three days, water being an important one, and forget electricity if you can't do it, and you might lose your supply of fresh water, you are in trouble because you y where will you go?
Who will you d uh deal with?
And you may not have a phone system to to help you out there.
So we do have a few miles to go before we're anywhere near the European norm in that regard.
It it depends it it depends on the on the length and time of the uh displacement as it were.
If people have their houses burned down they're gonna be there for a long time, you know.
