If they had a car, it'd be up on the ramps at the weekends and they'd be working under the engine or underneath it.
You know, everywhere you could walk up the street and it was the same scene everywhere.
And Luton was like, you know, it was quite a rough old... I lived on a big council estate and it was quite a rough old place, you know.

had too much to drink they'd be screaming and ranting and it'd be house parties good community though wasn't it it was great community it was legendary everybody knew everybody you knew all your neighbours everybody you'd get sent round like I was saying I'd have to run round the neighbours to get 50p to put in the back of the TV with a big wind up money box you know
to buy the phone because we didn't have a phone.
You know, no one had double glazing.
It was all critical windows and all the water used to run down off the windows onto the old seal.
And we'd have to put towels on it and soak it up.
