So I went down to Creative Artists Agency, which became CAA, but it was, they had an office in Chicago, and somehow I got,
figured out where it was and I called and they set up a meeting with me.
So here I am.
about 16, 17 years old, I go walking into the CA office holding a giant TEAC four-track tape machine.
These guys must have looked at me like, this kid is out of his frickin' mind.
But on that four-track was a... On that demo, we played a song called Bluebird by Buffalo Springfield.
Stills wrote.
And this guy heard it, and he goes, I'm gonna give you an inside scoop.
There's a band that's being formed right now with...
a guy from Buffalo Springfield, a guy from The Byrds, and a guy from The Hollies.
And I'm like, those are my three favorite fricking bands ever, you know?
With those first four Byrds albums.
I mean, I had a Rickenbacker 12.
I had an ES-335, my first real guitar.
And when I heard Mr. Tambourine Man, dude, I traded it for a Rickenbacker 12, which I still have.
I wish I had that.
That's the only guitar that I've ever owned that I don't have still.
Yeah.
I sold that one.
But that was the vibe of my demos, yeah.
