Yeah, I mean, so you outlined a good portion of this, which is the fact that we now know at least some semblance of what the path forward here looks like.
Several hundred convention goers, we expect them, the various county parties to start figuring out who those delegates are going to be in the coming days, would then convene sometime over the next two weeks to pick who this next individual would be to take up the party's banner heading into November.
I was chatting with one individual who I met just about a month ago who was already really frustrated with Platinor, frustrated with the fact that these allegations continue to pile up and pile up and pile up.
And when the news broke this evening, I got simply a finally with an exclamation point behind it.
There has obviously been a desire amongst some of the voters that we've been talking to over the last few days since we've gotten back here to Maine to really turn the page on this, even if they still believe in Plattner and believe in his message and believe in what he stands for.
Forgive that.
There is a desire to, at the very least, put this behind them because they want to see a path to try to beat Susan Collins.
But I will say I was speaking to another individual just a few moments ago after that video was released.
And he said basically in his view that he thinks the Democrats are going to struggle now.
because of this interregnum that we've seen.
One other note that I'll add here from the conversations I've been having with voters is that part of the message we saw from Plattner tonight was still fighting against what they saw or he explained as essentially the party trying to get rid of him.
There is still this amount that he is kind of playing into this idea that this was the party forcing him away and that the institutions, the establishment, were trying to basically get rid of him.
That will play with some of the voters that we've been talking to who are inclined to vote Democrat, who still have this kernel of belief, even before today, that this was all basically a Democratic op that was out to get him.
We'll see how big that motion is, particularly as we get into the prime of the general election.
But there is still at least some voters that I have a sense that will still play with the fact that he's still bringing up that argument in this video, even as he closes this chapter.
