Okay, Kevin Gosman is going to throw tonight.
He was much better last time out.
He had kind of a rough June in a way that we hadn't really seen from him much.
I think you were on here after he had had two bad ones in a row, and we were kind of talking about he's often had one blow up where he doesn't get a third inning or you ask him to eat some innings, but he gave up six or seven early.
Each year he's had one or two of those, but it was rare.
He had kind of four bad ones in five starts.
Much better the last time out.
What are you looking for from him back in a place that he knows pretty well, too, in San Fran?
With respect to, and this is similar to what we talked about with the Savage, maybe in terms of, you know, if the guys can lay off the splitter the way that the Twins did in the past, can you get by with just the fastball?
He has a slider.
He throws it about 20% of the time to right-handed hitters, but it has gotten shelled pretty hard this year.
Like batting average over 300, a slug of 1,000 against it.
How can he kind of navigate needing that as a show-me pitch, but maybe not relying on it as much as 20% of the time?
Does that just come down to how the fastball and splitter look that day?
