What really stands out is Connor Griffin looks like he belongs, both physically, both maturity level-wise.

looks every bit the part of a major leaguer, acts it, and has been accepted by major leaguers as one of them long before he's even come close to making his debut.

If you had to ask me, based on what I've seen so far, which is very, very limited,

that I think Connor Griffin is the starting shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates on opening day.

And I think the Pirates are very much in the mentality is if they go in that direction, let's go, let's roll with him.

I can see the Pirates putting him at the bottom of the order as kind of almost an extra leadoff hitter.

You know, let's just say they put Connor Griffin ninth and have O'Neal Cruz batting a lead off.

You've got, you know, Griffin had 65 stolen bases in the minors.
