And it became very clear that the people who should have been representing us and advocating for us were actually playing a big long-term game to get Sydney to win in any event.

But, you know, I guess we all learnt something about how some organized sports really conducted.
actual bid was announced that it had gone to Atlanta, I was just heartbroken because they wanted to hold it over so that Atlanta could get it and the next one after that was going to be Sydney.
